You can skip the "recap" parts in my opinion. It's another type of "filler" to make episodes take longer, so they can pace the anime against slower progressing manga storyline (they knew already at this point that they would catch up to the manga in no time, so the episodes have the recaps and long slowly panning shots to fill the time). Although for weekly releases, the recaps aren't that bad. For binging the series, it's a pain. There's even some episodes that are notorious for having basically no progression at all due to just having panning shots with reactions of the characters. But I just hope it doesn't discourage you on this journey.

Yeah I've gotten more used to skipping the opening minutes of episodes already at this point! Crazy to hear there's gonna be some episodes that will actually be a lot worse in that regard haha.
