Quick heads-up: I did end up watching all 5 OVA's before starting this second season. I'll be posting one of them every time along with a new episode for the coming weeks as bonus reactions! Today I'll include my reactions to episode 24.5 and 24.9!

I had a whole comment written out, but I accidentally deleted it. Sigh. I, too, start making connections and coming up with theories if I see the string to pull at, it's often such complexity that gets me intrigued with a story (but not too much, or imposed on me). However, I gotta say, if you're going to come up with conspiracy theories, fictional stories are a better subject than the real world...... I interpreted the scene where the Hero asks Shizu, How are you still alive as, How is it that you survived in this bad situation all this time, or How did you cope. But you might be right.... Don't assume you know all of the Hero's story yet. There could be some twists. But you won't see the reveal for a while. It's a good question: Where did the adult Hero go, if your theory is true? And where would the mask have come from in the first place? Rimuru repaired the mask at the time Shizu died and Rimuru stealthily entered the tent to look at his new body for the first time. Kuro/Black said about the mask: "Is it time compression of infinity?".....
