2:42 Just something I noticed multiple times now. I find it weird that you keep calling Earth "real world". That would maybe make sense if they're trapped in some virtual world, but all evidence suggests that this world is as real as Rudeus previous life. Is there some more thought behind it or just misspoken?

Robin

Hmm idk I don't think it's meant to be part of our universe so I think real world still makes sense to me to use haha

There are things that the anime does not make clear or omit and details that over time it is understandable to forget. - During the trip to the university, Rudeus talks about Elinalise's curse but in the anime the part about having children is omitted. I'm sure it's also implied in the anime that she has lived for many years but I don't remember when. When Rudeus meets Sylphy during the first few episodes of the first season he notices and mentions that her family situation is complicated. One of the aspects that for me are most important in a show is the naturalness with which the story is told, how small or big details and information are given that may seem irrelevant but slowly along the way they come together and make sense or take on importance. I mean the difference between cramming all the information in at once and doing it bit by bit, the former makes it feel forced and the latter somehow makes the story feel more natural and the world more alive. It's a shame that light novel to anime adaptations suffer from this. While it's true that the first season focused more on adventure and the second season feels different, I think the main aspect that makes MT stand out from other Isekai is how its story feels like it flows naturally and also many of its characters feel very human. What I mean is that compared to other shows you feel like what the main character does (including the bad things) are what he would actually do if he was a real person, taking into account the kind of person he was in his first life and what state he died in and that the story moves based on that, not an all-powerful author forcing things in the direction he wants (actually that happens but it doesn't feel like that). Looking at it from that point of view it seems quite natural to me the direction the story takes and the change of its focus and essence, although I totally understand that you want the adventure to come back haha it's a bit like what happened with AOT and its third season, which went from humans killing titans for survival, then humans killing humans in the middle of a political battle and ending with a genocide LOL, people didn't like it and asked for the first thing to come back. I took the liberty of writing all this so I could give this opinion that I had saved a long time ago and see if you think similar since you mentioned it's one of your favorite anime just like for me, I hope I'm not annoying haha.

Oh yeah nahh don't get me wrong, I think ALL the progression in this story so far has felt very natural. That's easily one of the things that stands out the most about it as you said. Regarding me talking about wanting the adventure to come back, it's not necessarily meant as a critique. I like the university arc so far, and it feels like natural addition to the story. That being said, it also feels like a stepping stone to a next arc that I feel undoubtedly will be taking us places again. Judging by the opening, I have a few ideas now lol! Thanks for the elaborate comments man, they're not annoying at all but actually very beneficial so please keep posting them if you'd like! :)
