I was actually kinda confused myself Dayeon didn't get top 9 candidate selected because even if you consider her "aura" lacking which is debatable her performance was incredible enough people didn't get it. Crawling your way up from that initial downfall can't be easy if you now only can depend on people votes. There is some editing going on like the usual things what goes on in shows. People get upset easily because there is a lot at stake for these girls trying to make their dreams come true. Some stuff did happen like Fu Yaning said the stuff with Yujin was scripted in an interview. If i remember correctly Fu Yaning was asked to do that. Not sure you can prove any favorable editing, people saying that with 100% certainty also rub me the wrong way. People complain some get too much screen time, some not enough, some too negative, some too positive. I mean if you think about it that way, there is always something you can complain about. In the end even the girls that didn't make it gained in popularity which is what you need if you want to pursue a career in this industry.

I think it's super hard to give everyone a fair screen time because at the end of the day certain trainees have a more outgoing personality and the most entertaining parts come from them. Of course they do have to follow a certain script for some, and if they plan for someone to have a redemption arc, or for 2 trainees to beef between each other, those will take a lot of time. Those C Twins probably got more time than certain trainees that are better because they are entertaining and that segment was super funny/cute which felt like a break from the intensity of the episode.
