I thought this was one of the weaker entries in the series. Personally, I prefer the first movie and choose to see it as a one and done.

Three cheers for Dawn Marie’s return to The Planet of the Apes!!! Will enjoy watching this watch along later tonight. But Dawn, now having seen this film in its entirety, I’ll tell you. The next film in the series, “Conquest of the Planet of the Apes” is the best and strongest of the sequels! I’m sure you can imagine what and who that film focuses on. It’s a hell of a ride Dawn.

Bartleby

And Dawn. You got Blade Runner coming up in a couple weeks. Remember, The Final Cut is the way to go. The cut with the director’s blessing and embraced by the fans. And Dawn, Blade Runner will be a movie for Detective Dawn. FYI

Michael Hartsell

How much people dressed up in gorilla suits can we take. The original was something different at the time and that's it, it's over move on. NO MAS!!!

Bartleby

I smiled wryly when you said, “I hope they’re in every movie” 😏 Cornelius and Zira were linchpin characters of the series. The only constant in the three movies so far. You are the perceptive one Dawn Marie. You sensed the inevitable. But you didn’t predict Zira switching babies when she went into the cage. I wondered if you might. And seeing the look of shock when the astronauts took off their helmets and were revealed to be apes was just priceless. This is what movie reactions are about!! I knew you’d be charmed by this movie and fall in love with Cornelius and Zira and be affected by their tragedy. Every Planet of the Apes movie so far ends with ultimate tragedy. This one though ends with that glimmer of hope. You can guess who Conquest follows and what a dramatic story that will be! You want to see Conquest Dawn. You’re going to love it….

Zira didn't want the switched baby chimp recovered for fear the bad humans would realize it wasn't Milo & hunt him. So, as long as it was dead anyway, burial at sea. Still heart-breaking across the board, Dawn, I agree 🐵

Bartleby

I would also clarify for Dawn Marie that the bizarre individuals at the end of Beneath the Planet of the Apes were not aliens. They were mutants. Mutated humans from the radioactive fallout of man’s nuclear war. They are the descendants of survived radioactive humans of man’s nuclear war from so long ago. The radioactivity clearly affected their physical bodies and but also enhanced their brains with psychic abilities and making them a little crazy. Thus their worship of the nuclear bomb.

Louis Marzullo

Ah, so that's what Dawn meant by the "aliens"!! 😂 I was like "What aliens??What did I miss?" Dawn Marie always thinking outside the box! 👽

And nice bluff at what the rest of the room was talking about without a cold read!

Michael Hartsell

I'm a simple man friend, I have no fucking idea what your comment means. You must be one of these educated intelligent people I've heard about. With that said I'll just take it as a compliment.

If you want a good classic 70s romcom film The Goodbye Girl with Richard Dreyfuss is personal fav of mine.

Richard Ricketts

Why does she still think they were aliens in the last movie no one telling her that they were mutated by radiation from their own bomb
