Being a made man in the Italian mafia means you are in the elite class of the mob and essentially untouchable. And as the character said in the movie, you need to be 100% Italian which would exclude Ray Liotta’s and Robert Deniro’s characters because they were both half Irish. Remember, the last people or friends of Billy Bats saw him having an argument with Joe Pesci. They could safely assume Pesci’s character did something to him. They never saw Ray Liotta’s or Robert Deniro’s characters blow up or fight with him. You want to mix it up and see a non boy movie directed by and starring Clint Eastwood “The Bridges of Madison County” (1995) A phenomenal film.
