It was pure joy to watch your reaction, bless you!

The show aired in the fall of 2001 so it’s been over 22 years since filming. Sadly, all of Easy Company has now passed. I believe the last one was earlier this year or sometime last year. I looked up Sgt. Grant online so grain of salt of course but it said: Grant recovered slowly from the gunshot wound to his head, and he occasionally had some problems talking and his left arm was partially paralyzed. He lived in San Francisco, owning a little tobacco shop.

You did an awesome job making thru the whole session. It is a tough watch but it help us to understand what made them Greatest Generation.

Thanks for taking that journey, Dawn, and allowing a few of us to tag along. You have to experience the middle episodes for the final episode to have this impact. As someone else noted, all these soldiers have passed away now. Thankfully, the book was written and this series created. Regarding the items taken home, I have a few items in my office that my grandfather brought back from his days fighting in the Pacific and occupation of Japan.

Beautiful reaction Dawn! A fitting way to finish off the series.

Thanks for reacting to this awesome series, Dawn. The last surviving member of Easy Company, who fought with the company from Normandy through the end of the war, was Bradford C. Freeman. He died on July 3, 2022, at age 97. Almost all the main actors were cast because of their close physical resemblance to the real-life soldiers they were portraying. This mini-series serves as a massive stepping stone to several of the actor's careers. Most notable are Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Damien Lewis, Simon Pegg, Jimmy Fallon, Dominic Cooper, and Donnie Wahlberg.
