Did you recognize the actor who played Brian from Vacation? And you asked about their ages - only Brian and Claire were teenagers at 16. Allison and Andy were 21 when filming started and Bender was 24 I guess the idea of what happens on Monday is left open to interpretation, since they just started laughing and then dancing. But with all the damage to the library, they’re probably suspended anyway

What is unique to this movie is that we all had doubts through High School. We can all relate to 1 or more of their inner hell. High school is such a time of self-reflection and doubt, regardless of our strengths. When peer-group pressure kills any desire to be open and risk rejection from any group to which we want to believe we belong. Everything rides on the surface. My take away from high school was that I don't want to live the same life once I graduated. Seek and establish friendships that we can be vulnerable in and thereby strong bonds.

What’s on for Thursday Dawn?

I'll never forgive Claire for her "makeover" of Allison. Taking a kooky, unique, unconventional and smoking hot weirdo and turning her into a bland, saccharine, cookie-cutter image of beauty? Unforgivable!

Funny you should mention Bender having big nostrils. When I watched this movie originally in the theater, some girl blurted out loud “he’s got big nostrils”!! LOL

Great reaction. I added this movie to my collection last year and just watched it for the first time. Andrew Clark (the “Jock”) was played by Emilio Estevez. Emilio is the older brother of Carlos Irwin Estévez (Charlie Sheen). The five principle actors are members of the Brat Pack. An appearance in one or both of the ensemble casts of two specific films released in 1985—John Hughes's The Breakfast Club and Joel Schumacher's St. Elmo's Fire—is often considered the prerequisite for being a core Brat Pack member. The ages of everyone in the principal cast at the time of filming are: Judd Nelson (25 years old), Molly Ringwald (16 years old; her 17th birthday was only three days after the film's release), Emilio Estevez (23 years old), Anthony Michael Hall (16 years old) and Ally Sheedy (23 years old). The scene in which all the characters sit in a circle on the floor in the library and tell stories about why they were in detention was not scripted. Writer and director John Hughes told them all to ad-lib. The movie was followed by The Bed & Breakfast Club (TV Series 2008).
