It's a hard one to take - absolutely. Eddie Ray Routh (the marine who killed him) also killed Chad Littlefield (Kyles friend) at the same time while they were at the shooting range. Routh is serving life, with no chance of parole. The film is based on Kyles autobiography of the same name. Oh and "grouping your shots better" is getting your shots closer / tighter.

so a few things to clarify: the badge you noticed on the coffins and on Chris is the Navy Seal Trident. It is one of the toughest badges to earn in the US Military. The movie accurately depicts some of what trainees go through in BUDS, which is the first six month long step in becoming a seal. Typical attrition rate in BUDS is around 70%. One of the particularly infamous parts of buds is called Hell Week, with 5.5 days of constant activity and around 4 hours of sleep for the entire week. The marine that was with Chris on the rooftop was providing security for him. Normally a sniper team is a shooter and a spotter. My guess is that they didn't have enough spotters to go around. I would recommend Black Hawk Down and 13 Hours if you haven't seen them. Good, realistic depictions of modern warfare, both based on true stories. May I also respectfully recommend that you figure out how to add a timer for the films full length reactions. It helps people like me keep the film and the reaction synced up. Looking forward to whatever reactions are coming our way Dawn.

Your first Clint Eastwood directed film for the channel. Clint Eastwood is a brilliant director. Recommending a phenomenal film Eastwood directed and starred in. “The Bridges of Madison County” (1995) I think it’d be fascinated to see your take on this Eastwood film.

This is a difficult watch but your reaction was excellent. The real Chris Kyle once said that if there was a filmmaker who would make a movie about him, it would be Clint Eastwood and no one else. Bradley Cooper only spoke to Chris Kyle one time on the phone, just a couple of weeks before Chris Kyle's tragic death. It was a two-minute conversation according to Cooper. The real Chris Kyle was murdered on February 2, 2013, at a shooting range while trying to help a veteran (Eddie Ray Routh) who was reported to have psychiatric problems, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This movie was released a month before Eddie Ray Routh's trial for Chris Kyle's murder. Routh pled not guilty by reason of insanity. On February 24, 2015, Routh was found guilty of capital murder in Stephenville, Texas (the jury did not buy his insanity defence) where he is sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. The prosecutors chose not to pursue the death penalty. It was revealed in the murder trial of Eddie Ray Routh that Chris Kyle was shot in the back six times by a .45 handgun, inflicting mortal wounds to his aorta and spinal column. Kyle's friend Chad Littlefield, who had accompanied Kyle and Routh to the shooting range, was also shot several times in the back and head. Both men were found with their own weapons holstered during the shooting. Routh, who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and alcohol abuse, suffered from hallucinations and paranoia but refused all treatment and medication. He claimed that he sat in the back of the truck on the way to the shooting range, and shot both men because they wouldn't talk to him. The gun that Routh used to kill Littlefield was a 9mm Sig Sauer pistol that belonged to Kyle. After the murders, Routh fled the scene in Kyle's pick-up truck. Sadly enough, while underway to the range, Kyle had texted Littlefield "This dude is straight up nuts", to which Littlefield had texted "Watch my six".
