You will need your own copy of the movie to watch along! 😁

Is this the greatest movie theme song ever!? 🤔

Yaaas, excellent timing. Gonna watchalong right now. When you said about the lights, I was thinking the exact same thing. Didn't notice it when I had watched this previously haha. The soundtrack was banging too. Rosewood and Taggart are great characters. Made my day when Billy was shouting at the gun toting bad guys lol. Overall a great movie and another wonderful reaction. Super fun.

$5,000 for a stolen truckload of cigarettes in 1984 would be $14,525 today. The room cost $235 a night, that would be $683 a night today.

FYI, if you Google worst cities to live in in America Detroit will be right at the top. Speaking of Detroit and Robocop, did you recognize the Bev Hills lieutenant from Robocop? Also, there is a BH cop II and III. Two is really good, 3 not so much and I think I’ve heard of a fourth coming out in the near future

Eric Bonham

Now every time you warn about the flying bogies and snot I'm just going to picture you in that Young Ones episode.

There's Beverly Hills Cop 2 and 3, but 1 is still the best by far. Another sequel is coming out soon called Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley.

D Scott Howard

Yes! Please watch Beverly Hills Cop II !

Part three gets heat but I liked it as much that it tells the continuing story of the characters I love. It has its moments. And it’s cute.

I actually found BC2 to be the most fun of the 3 movies, so it's my favorite. And Dawn, I know you will love all 3, despite what any naysayers might think about them.

Let's see... A few casting notes. You probably haven't seen Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul yet, right? Two pretty deep rabbit holes that make up SOME OF THE BEST TV ever filmed and Jonathan Banks has a prominent role in both, more so in BCS. In this movie, he was Zack (Victor Maitlin's main thug) and he had a lot of small movie roles in the 80s and 90s. I very highly recommend both BB and BCS if you get into any longer series. Banks is a BRILLIANT actor! In fact, all the actors on those shows are either brilliant or at least just damn good. Judge Reinhold you will see again if a certain 1982 movie (teen romp comedy) called Fast Times at Ridgemont High wins a poll (or you just pick it to watch). He plays a main character in that and is probably his breakout role. Axel's fellow Detroit detective/friend Jeffrey was played by Paul Reiser, who you may remember as a certain corporate asshat from ALIENS. And someone also mentioned that Ronny Cox (Lieutenant Bogomil) was also in Robocop, which (perhaps unfortunately) I have no interest in and so have never seen.

Yes, Beverly Hills Cop 2 is well worth watching. And it was fun watching you expect a twist. While many films and TV have had twists through the years, I think it was the mid 90s that exploded the need for twists in practically everything. Action films in the 80s by and large painted the good and bad characters fairly obviously, especially as so many of them we’re mostly about the leading actors’ charisma/persona more than a clever story (with that said, the 80s probably are my favorite decade of films overall for pure fun).

Awesome reaction Dawn to a wonderful film. I hope you feel better soon

Fantastic, I needed some cheering up today. The theme tune is called Axel F by Harold Faltermeyer. It reached no. 2 in the UK charts. Did you recognise Detroit Detective Jeffrey Friedman? He was played by Paul Reiser who also played Carter Burke (the Company Man) in Aliens (1986). Beverly Hills Lieutenant Andrew Bogomil was played by Ronny Cox. You saw him earlier as Dick Jones (Senior President of OCP) in RoboCop (1987).
