Thank you so much for this reaction! As others have said, it's a first, and I hope not the last Woody Allen reaction that you do. For pure laughs I would suggest Play it Again Sam, because it's hilarious and also because you are familiar with Bogart from watching Casablanca; and also Sleeper, which is sort of a tribute to Charlie Chaplin and silent films using a lot of slapstick comedy. Here's a great guide to Annie Hall and all of its references. Thanks again! https://www.woodyallenpages.com/2017/04/annie-hall-at-40-the-complete-guide/

Please do more Woody. He’s my favorite. My favorite film of his is ZELIG. Also see SLEEPER, RADIO DAYS, LOVE AND DEATH, BROADWAY DANNY ROSE, and TAKE THE MONEY & RUN (his first).

Diane Keaton did her own singing, she also made a brief appearance singing in Woody’s film RADIO DAYS, also one of my favorites

Darrell Palmer

This film was nominated for 5 academy awards in 1978. It received Oscars for Diane Keaton's performance as best actress and Woody Allen won for best picture, best director and best screenplay. Woody Allens films had been pure comedies before this. Going forward his films were more like this one with serious themes mixed with the comedy. At one point Woody's character makes a joke about hanging out with the cast of The Godfather after being harassed by a couple of Italian American guys while waiting for Annie, but the real joke is that Diane Keaton is the one who was in the cast of The Godfather. She was in all three of the Godfather movies.

Eric Bonham

My favorite part of the reaction was when you couldn't remember Diane Keaton's name.

It was great watching this movie with you. No reactor I know has watched this so thank you. I discovered this movie in the 1980's and like you I had never seen a movie like this before, told this way, jumping back and forth in time and with so many cultural references.
