I believe Jimmy Stewart's last film role was in An American Tale 2 Fivel goes West. An american Tale 1 & 2 are great animated films. I broke my Gramma's VCR twice with a vhs copy of the first film fast forwarding and rewinding to play certain scenes over and over again. My Gramma was so upset.

Jimmy Stewart is shown as 4-F in the film. Those taken first were classified 1-A. In truth, Jimmy was deemed unfit for active duty during the beginning of WW 2, but he was already a licensed Pilot. So he trained other's to be Pilot's in the early War here in the States. He then went to Europe and was a Bomber Pilot, flying mission's over Germany until the end of the War. He retired as a one star General in the Air Force Reserves in 1968. This movie was his first after returning to Hollywood. He said the thing that scared him the most was his first on screen kiss. His last on screen performance was in John Wayne's last film, "The Shootist". Sorry for the late comment, but I'm playing catch up as a Patron.
