Getting worried now, a whole week of westerns and still no Tombstone 😮🤞

Carlos Perez

Yessss Rio Bravo!! John Carpenter remade this as Assault on Precinct 13! Hoping for Tombstone also 😆🤞

Darrell Palmer

Knew you'd like this one. One of my favorites as well.

Mike McLaughlin

So you probably noticed that in the early part of the movie the man in charge of the dyno mite supplies that offered his service to John Wayne and was soon after murdered is the same actor that played in The Quiet Man as Father Lonigan. His name is Ward Bond. He was a life long friend of Duke's. He is in many John Wayne movies. Stumpy (Walter Brennan) is in another western with the Duke. The movie is Red River. Another great movie.

You liked Angie Dickinson, you can also see her in China Gate (1957), Cry Terror! (1958), The Killers (1964), The Chase (1966), Point Blank (1967), Big Bad Mama (1974) and Dressed to Kill (1980)

Prophet2272

El Dorado is a good companion movie to this. The same premise of a movie with John Wayne but with different co stars.

Robert Inman

Dawn, they were throwing the coins into a spittoon as a way to humiliate Dude. Those are there for tobacco chewers to spit into.

This was filmed at the same location as the town in 2 Mules for Sister Sara - Old Tucson. The Saquaro cactus are an almost certain giveaway. Also, Ricky Nelson (Colorado) and Dean Martin (Dude) had careers as popular singers.

Lamar Savage

For my money, this is the most enjoyable Western ever made! We all love Walter Brennan (Stumpy)! :)

Bill W

I love the character. I read some unsavory stuff about Walter, though.

If you liked Stumpy, another "Old Coot" type character you might like is Gabby Hayes. He played the sidekick in a ton of black and white westerns. I recommend "Tall in the Saddle" (1944), with John Wayne and Gabby as his trusty sidekick.
