Always fun to see young Tony Curtis and Rock Hudson.

Loved it! First watch for me, and a very enjoyable one, especially in such lovely company as our Dawn Marie's. I was surprised how many cast members I recognized, including future superstars appearing here in very minor roles. Young Bull was played by Rock Hudson (Giant, Ice Station Zebra, Pilllow Talk, among meny others). One of the young cavalry troopers was played by Tony Curtis (billed here as "Anthony Curtis," perhaps best remembered for Some Like It Hot). He would go on to marry Janet Leigh (Psycho). Jamie Lee Curtis is their daughter. Other familiar faces were not bound for such stellar careers, but were frequently seen faces nonetheless: Will Geer (Wyatt Earp) would become a household fixture as Grampa Walton on the Waltons, John McIntire (gun runner) was Deputy Sheriff Al Chambers in Psycho, and would replace Ward Bond in the TV series Wagon Train, again among many other appearances. There were other cast not as well known, but who I spotted because I'm geeky that way: Jay C. Flippen (cavalry sergeant) appeared in Oklahoma! among many oher films, Millard Mitchell (High-Spade) I remember best from Singin' In the Rain as the head of the movie studio, Steve Brodie (one of Dutch's sidekicks, Johnny) appeared in many minor roles on TV including several episodes of Perry Mason. The other sidekick, Ben, was played by James Millican, who showed up in High Noon as the citizen who was willing to help until he found out he was the only one who answered the call. That's plenty to chew on for now. All in all, a well-selected ensemble of highly talented actors.
