😂 So clever, you are, especially with your glasses on! And Best. New. Reaction. Photo. Ever. (so far)

Jimmy Walker

A descent movie that shows the other side of the war is "Action in the Noth Atlantic" staring Humphrey Bogart

Manny

Try Hunt for Red Hunt for red October as well.

Bartleby

She already watched Hunt for Red October a while ago. It’s up here and on YouTube

Manny

Oooo...I'll have to watch that reaction.

Bartleby

Aye yai yai Dawn! To watch this film and think the takeaway is Bad things happen to bad people. That may be the most blonde thing you’ve ever said. You’re lucky you’re pretty Dawn.

Bill W

Why don't you offer her an alternate explanation instead of hurling insults. You sound like Hartsell.

john ruddick

Great reaction das boot is a real masterpiece of cinema. I'm glad you enjoyed it. 👍😊

Bartleby

I just complimented Dawn and told her she was pretty. Wow, some people can only focus on the negative huh. Perhaps I’d like to encourage Dawn to think about the film a bit more deeply on her own. Without my just telling her what to arrive at. There’s a difference between clarifying aspects of plot and grasping of the larger themes. Though I would remind Dawn that billions of good, sweet, innocent people have died brutal, senseless deaths in wars throughout all of human history. And I would suggest to her that she not get hung up on the idea of “sides”, “god guys” and “bad guys” Don’t get hung up on the politics of WW2. Maybe don’t look at this film and these characters as “the other side” or “bad guys” and just look at them as human beings in a situation that has been a part of the human condition since the very first primitive tribes of men fought against another primitive tribe of men for their resources, land, and women. The nature of war is an indiscriminate killer. War can be merciless, senseless, and mad. Regardless of “sides” or “good guys and bad guys” It’s okay to view these characters simply as human beings, and empathize with them amidst the brutality and madness of war.

Bartleby

And by the way Bill, the meaner thing is to say nothing and just let her go on thinking that was the films about, just for the sake of being disingenuously nice. Those people aren’t doing her any favors and don’t really care about her as a person.

timeless_realm

Ignore the disrespectful stereotyping, Dawn. Don’t be bulling into changing your honest take or style one bit. They can offer suggestions without being a$$holes. It is only your POV that matters. 95% of the people here are only interested in your take. The other 5% were hall monitors named Ken.

Louis Marzullo

If you listen to the outro again to the end, I think you'll find that Dawn got exactly the main theme you point out, just not in as many words.

Bartleby

She doesn’t say anything of the sort Louis. At most she acknowledges that she understands how effective the shock of the ending would have been. That’s not necessarily getting the themes of the film or why that shocking ending happened. I respect Dawn enough to be honest with her and expect her to handle it like an adult. When she hires a shit editor, I’m not going to lie to her and tell her her videos are great. I’ll be honest and point out real flaws in the editing of someone she hired instead of just letting bad videos slide (for the sake of being nice) Thrown in with a little ball busting. Seeing as how much she just enjoyed Borat, I think she can take it.

Bill W

Stop trying to justify it. You can offer insight and opinion without being an asshole. ..or maybe you can't.

Pat Cecil

It's an amazing piece of work. It was quite an event when it was first shown on channel 4 . Seeing the war from the other side was quite profound. Dawn, remember, that sub was there to starve your great granny! It is utterly brilliant. And the music score is fantastic. 10/10
