Most of you know I don’t share a great deal about me on a personal level. It’s all part of me wanting to remain a blank slate for you as you listen to my audios and for me to be whoever you need/want me to be at that moment.

I’ve been thinking lately that, for those of you who choose to generously support me, if you were at all interested, perhaps I could share a little…

This here is my hat. Not just any hat, but a very special hat. It’s called an Akubra and is an Australian icon in itself. Generally worn by those who live ‘out bush’ or ‘on the land’ if you wear one and you live in a city, you’re a bit of try hard, or as we say here, a bit of a wanker. Unfortunately they’ve become a status symbol for city folk.

I’ve always admired these hats (partly because I’m UV challenged) as they truly are part of the Australian landscape which I hold dear. A few years ago, I moved to a large acreage property and decided I was finally worthy of one of these. I work the land that I’m surrounded by, I keep a number of animals and am invested in the ecological upkeep of the space I call home.

So I now wear an Akubra. And it’s fucking sexy as all get out 😉
