some talking 🌻 (and vertical version Vol 01 preview) (Patreon)

hey everyone, i hope you're doing fine!! 💕 I'm so sorry for the lack of posts recently, I've just been extra tired. I have to pick and choose what I focus on with my limited energy and I usually choose to progress the comic in silence ; _; please know behind the scenes I've been working on stuff, I just have to retreat and be a hermit crab more often when I feel that way.

I also had to move the public update because of it, and to be honest sometimes it's just so frustrating to make plans or a schedule. Because I can keep it up for a bit and i can have all the motivation in the world and then BAM ... i have to rest much longer than I thought. It's not that I think I'll disappoint my readers, luckily, because I have the most patient readers and I have to keep saying it: your willingness to wait is amazing and I'm so lucky to have you all by my side working on the pages ; _;

It's moreso that I'm a bit disappointed in myself whenever it happens. Those feelings come and go, I'm working on accepting the fact that sometimes I can do a lot in a week and othertimes I'm just completely behind. I think what makes it the most difficult is how unpredictable it is, it tends to be different on a daily basis. But I have gotten better at managing those days, and while physically I'm far from feeling great, mentally I feel like I've made so much good progress the past months and I'm really proud of myself despite the frustration sometimes. I'm excited about what's going to happen in the next scenes, so my excitement fights with my body that just wants to sleep 12h a day 🐌 and of course I let it, but damn please... I just want to draw them kiss !!

Apart from my own impatient feelings it just keeps messing with my plans for updating the comic. But I'm determined to keep my current 2 - 3 scenes buffer for patreon. It feels so safe to have it, and I think moving public updates instead of using my buffer is the way to go for the time being.

Current comic progress looks like this:

🌸 working on vertical versions of all current scenes for public update
🌸 working on vertical versions for Volume 01

I don't have much energy to doodle or sketch random things at the moment, so I don't have anything to show, but I decided to show you a few WIPs from my vertical versions of Volume 01~ still not completely done and I have to adjust the pacing here and there, but it's slowly coming together!

It's completely different to make the vertical versions of my early pages, because back when I first started the comic horizontal layouts were still the more common thing in webcomics, so I didn't even have the chance to plan my layouts in a way that could easily be converterted into vertical versions later 🥴 but I'm figuring out how to cut the panels properly. Creating vertical versions of the early scenes is super time consuming, but I really want to push through it, because there are so many details in the early scenes that I think have gone missing in the tiny panels on phones.
