Ghost Lights - spirit forms (Patreon)

i can't tell you too much about their past lives yet, but i want to talk a bit about the designs and some random details! at top is the first draft, and the second sketch is how i decided to keep the designs.

Noah's spirit form is pretty simple. his body is made out of deer, foxes, and at least one hare! i changed his stag antlers to smaller deer buck antlers because it fits him so much better. his bones are wooden and somehow hollow. his skeleton is grown like branches here and there, and sometimes the light shines through his body. he's able to let plants grow on his fur, and all around him... not only these red flowers btw, all kinds of plants! and animals follow him, animals love him. he just owns this sort of energy to keep living beings all around him. he's energetic, reckless and extremely pushy.

Robin is completely different from that... his body is a mixture of soil, smoke, and cold lava, and he was given a mask so he has a face. basically i designed him with capricorn, horse and wolf in mind, but he's not made out of these animals at all. his most important trait is inside his chest: it's a small sun (or "Sonne", german for sun). most animals and plants won't come too close to him, even though he has the ability to provide them with everything they need. for some reason moths flock to him though, probably because they like the warm light in his chest. but everything else pretty much avoids him, that's why he needs someone to bring them to him.... oops! can you guess who it is? here i have to stop, and it might sound a bit confusing now, but the story will explain it soon! he's quiet, serious and looks intimidating, but he can be veeery affectionate.

their names can't be pronounced by humans, so i don't know their past names either!! but i will show them through the story, cause they're visible whenever they speak with each other.
