VacMel (Patreon)

This was a nice idea starring Suichi's Melanie and Rab's Kat that I unfortunately gave up on. The draft looks nice, but I was unhappy with the half-inked version - it's a common problem that you may have heard other artists complain about in their own work too: the sketch is full of life, but then upon further refinement the picture ends up feeling really sterile by comparison. As much as I love the concept, I got muddled up in a bajillion layers and after a while the pic just stopped being fun to work on. Still, it'd be a shame for it to just sit unseen in a dusty folder hidden deep in the hard drive, so, here it is!

Sui's birthday is coming up soon so I've got another Mel pic in the works that I'm already happier with, so you'll be seeing that later!
