I was recently away from the house for a couple of days for a yearly gaming convention (and like clockwork, am now nursing a sore throat and runny nose after getting back home! Bah!).

I took a little sketchpad with me and found some time in the evenings to jot down a couple of doodles. It's been at least a decade since I did anything on paper, so it was pretty fun re-learning how to ink with these pigment liners like I did back in the day ( you can find a few examples in the Artchive , like "FA-FinalFantasyVII-Aeris", "FA-FireEmblem-Lyndis_v1_old", "FA-MegaMan-Rolls", "FA-TalesOfSymphonia-Sheena_Zelos" and "FA-XMenEvolution-Rogue". Sylvia (from Escapades Issue 3) was the first character to spring to mind that'd work well with solid blacks, and then I moved on to seeing if I could replicate the way I do shiny latex with an armbinder. At that point I was confident enough to do a fullbody picture, so the next night I made this catsuit piece. It's supposed to be Aer but I don't think her hair is actually long enough to make such a large ponytail... Ah well! :p

Anyway, I liked it enough to run it through Vector Magic, do a little cleanup (you can see that I did unfortunately fall victim to a rookie mistake with the ring at the bottom of the armbinder! ;) ) and throw on some quick colours. It turned out okay, but to be honest I kinda dig the traditional look of the raw scan, too! Sooo... have both! :p

Ooh, super nice! <3 -- What's it take to commission you? :3

Got a case of Con Crud, have ya? I know that feel. I got the worse ear infection EVER after Comic Con San Diego 2016.

Thanks! Closest thing I take to commissions is the fanart vote.

Yep. All the hand sanitizer in the world is still no match for a weekend of touching used keyboards/game controllers, or spending hours in lines and small presentation rooms with a bunch of other sweaty nerds! ;)

Sickness aside, hoping you had a great time and it's nice to see people reconnect with their artistic roots lol. Looks good! I wouldn't guess you hadn't done paper work in a long time!

A lot of stuff carries back and forth between traditional and digital, especially since I use a display tablet. :D Thanks!

This is indeed kinky as get out and that's awesome but WOAH WAIT A MINUTE where'd that super cool claw gauntlet come from? Too bad Aer doesn't have that to slice her way to freedom! I'm guessing the initial "mistake" w/ the ring is showing it from the front rather than the side(?), but I'm no artistic expert. That said, really cool to see the comparisons between the penciled, inked and digital versions of Catsuit Aeria. There's something to be said for the classic on-paper approach; I'm glad to hear this artistic trip down memory lane proved both fruitful and fun! Hopefully that illness has died down or disappeared by now, I guess the costs of attending gaming conventions aren't always financial (poor joke, apologies). Hopefully you still had fun during it, and hmmm...now I can't get the image of Wossy and Aeria attending E3 out of my head in their classic fashion.
