I just read an article on zero hedge about the possibility of Xi’s new cabinet being a buffer against backlash for economic “reforms.” Wealth redistribution, income caps, taking steps to uplift the middle class. How does this relate to Xi’s push for zero COVID. Do you think Xi’s and his allies believe they can promise these reforms while locking down the country? It’s pretty clear where China’s economy is headed after they’ve started opening thousands of cooperatives across the country. With coupon in hand, they are no doubt planning to push western style supermarkets out of business. My question is, which economic section are they moving on to next?
