IF the CCCP just purged the opposite faction and stood in their heads, as in "these people are corrupt" and then actually make good strides while still being totalitarian af, maybe there would be better working China for all.

While tragic and depressing we must remember that fear based atomization will only hold back collective action for so long. It is a short term solution to legitimizing their government. And when they run out of resources to support that form of panoptic security the CCP will crumble and China's people will be free (at least kind of closer than they are now)
