This vividly took me back to my childhood. in 1979 Paraguay was under dictator Alfredo Stroessner. and Olimpia, a football side, won the Libertadores Cup (The South American Champion's league) and then the Paraguayan national side won the Copa America. This was without doubt the most successful year in Paraguayan football history. Then, the Olimpia and Paraguay capitan Hugo Talavera was inexplicably dropped in the Copa America final and it has since come out that this was at the bequest of Talavera's father, a General like Stroessner, who was afraid no doubt that the president would see the son's success as a bandwagon for Talavera senior to become popular and hence become a possible threat to the dictator.

I can't help but feel sorry for the millions of innocent Chinese children who will face a grim and cold future like North Korea's present. As George Orwell said, totalitarianism is "a boot stomping on a human face - forever." Without a True God, we end up with True Evil. We should prefer to suffer with one great Truth rather than be comfortable with lies.
