Could Evergrande’s Collapse TANK the Global Economy?

Could Evergrande’s collapse tank the global economy? That's the question being asked around the world as one of China's largest real-estate development companies goes into freefall. Evergrande has buried itself under an unsustainable amount of debt, and it's hard to see how it will be able to dig itself out. All eyes are on Beijing to see whether the Chinese government will step in to rescue the failing giant. If not, Evergrande's crash could tank the global economy, much like the financial crisis of 2008. Good notes, good notes...but this makes me think, is China overrated per its money power? True power rests in working with chaos, because it will always arrive. The commies cannot work with chaos. It throws them for a loop. So, they will try to stop it (Chris mentions saving Chinese investors)...but sooner or later they will lose their grip. Their structure of total control is overweight and fragile. It will crack.

This made me think that some would say the cultural rev was chaos...ah, not really. True chaos has no goal, one day this, one day that. The cult rev had a goal which stayed the same throughout its run: Pure, abstract and impossible to achieve Communism. Enemies were from certain pinpointed groups. Today, the commies can hardly keep up with all the different groups that they are paranoid over...India, Mongolians, capitalists, Taiwan, the Philippines, the world court, everywhere chaos is stalking them. Never had that in the cult rev as they were the ones attacking. Now, they are under fire.

Oh, there is a book out on the supposed underpinnings of business in China. It is more like a shopping novel at times but at half way though some things have come out...read if you have time...Red Roulette by Desmond Shum
