Taiwan should focus on defending their semiconductor factories, because of... "the danger of the crazy CCP attacking them". These factories in Taiwan play a very critical role in high-end semiconductor supply chains. A sane invader - if there were such a thing - would want to take these factories over in a working condition. Installing a significant amount of defence systems at these factories would serve several purposes: The CCP could not destroy these defence systems without risking damage to the factories. Taiwan would have a set of defence systems that the CCP would be hesitant to fire back on - if the CCP were sane. And if the CCP would attack the defence systems and harm the factories, the whole world would soon have significant cause to be pretty angry at the crazy CCP for harming these factories.
