Thank you for helping us reach our first Patreon milestone goal of $500 per video!


Among the things we will do with this bigger budget is to get a researcher—so we can produce better, more interesting episodes for you. Over the next couple weeks, we're going to start looking for the right person. (More info on this coming soon.)

Could you please tell who was getting your stories before? Do you mostly receive stories from the people working at the Epoch Times or do you just hop on the internet and look for yourselves? Congratulations too for getting to $500

Vincent, Matt, Shelley, and I do all the research. But mostly it's limited to information that's available in English, because our Chinese reading abilities are are limited. Occasionally we scramble to get Mandarin-speaking friends to help us translate something, but they aren't actually generating new story ideas. We want to hire a part-time person who is a skilled researcher in Chinese, so we can better access the treasure trove of unironic propaganda and user-generated hilarity that is China's internet.
