Beijing Residents Forbidden From Dying | China Uncensored
In China, you are not allowed to die unless the government gives you permission. Every province in China has 'death toll allowances,' in other words the maximum number of people allowed to die per month by the Chinese government. During recent torrential rains in Beijing this month, CCTV announced that authorities had forbidden anyone from dying during any floods that may result. Now, what, you may ask, does that mean if there's something like an earthquake or SARS? Please don't ask questions that make you lose face.
