So, anything big happen to you guys since last week? Me? Oh, just finished Quaranteam: Book One on Saturday, and as much as I wanted to rest on my laurels, almost immediately after I finished it, I started doing some of the edit/cleanup/revision work on the earlier chapters, because it was all fresh in my mind. I'm about 50 pages or so into that work now, and will be chipping away at it bit by bit for the next month. I also contacted my art guy, and gave him my description for the physical book cover, and after he was done laughing at how bad my little concept art was (and rightly so - I can't draw anything to save my life), he told me he'd start working on it, and would have it in time for when I needed it.

I also did the one thing I told myself I absolutely, positively wasn't going to do until I finished the revisions for Book One. I started outlining the first chapter of Book Two. I know what's in it, I know all the major events that'll happen in it, I know how much time passed between Book One and Book Two, and while I think it's also entirely likely that I may come back and write a sort of prologue chapter, I may also start picking away at starting on Book Two earlier than planned. But since I know literally everyone wants to know when you're going to get to see anything from Book Two, I'll be a nice guy and tell you this - QT2:1 is currently on the calendar for 12/2. I know it seems like a long way away, but I want to make sure we have everything with Book One dealt with before I post it, and I may also try and get a few chapters ahead of what's released, so I don't feel the deadlines as much.

Just before starting this news update, I posted Janus Coins: John's Story 4 up for consumption, which sort of marks the end of Act 1 of that story, with an intermission following that before we start Act 2. It's a very different kind of story, so I'm interested on feedback on if the sort of recollection style holds up or not.

Friday will see the release of Quaranteam: Phil's Tale 11, and starting with that one, I'm going to begin including dates for that story as well. (They'll be retroactively added to old chapters for the large compendium PDFs/epubs, but not individually, I think.) That's all part of the retrofit that the rework is doing.

Next week, Devil's Details 4 on Tuesday, and Brewster's Brood 23 on Friday. This'll be the first of the new, slightly larger BB releases, as part of the adjustments being made to add Breakpoint to the schedule for tier 2s and up. Also, I fed some of the descriptives of Breakpoint into an AI art generator, and what it fed me back is attached to this post, because it's pretty on-point.

It currently looks like the "You Decide" poll for 10/11 is favoring Before The Storm, which is very good for me, because the next chapter of that story has been building in my head for some time, and it's a very spicey one. I almost wanted to write it as part of the last chapter, but there was already so much going on there, I just didn't have the time to crank out that much. I think people are genuinely going to like it, though.

All of the stuff I talked about last week is all still pretty much where that all stands. The new Silversmith story for the end of next month will be called A Trick Of The Light. I may tag it with "A Silversmith Tale" as well.

My public release schedule for the next month or so is as follows:  10/1 - Before The Storm 1, 10/8 - QT: Piper's Prelude 3, 10/15 - QT46, 10/22 - Morgana's Gift 11, 10/29 - QT 47, 11/5 QTPT 9. For those of you on the fence about subscribing, QT50 won't be released for free until March of next year. The print version is currently planned (I hope) for end of November.

That's all the news that's fit to print. I'll be out Friday night and Saturday night, seeing Kevin Smith presenting Clerks 3 in SF on Friday and in Oakland on Saturday seeing a synthwave band I absolutely love called The Midnight, so let me leave you with some of their stuff. See everyone back here on Friday!
