Not a whole lot of news this week other than to talk about what's coming. After the insanity that was last week, things have mostly been quiet on the western front. I got my car window fixed on Thursday, and while it was expensive in a way that hurt, I didn't have anything stolen from the car, and I feel relatively okay again. For much of last week, the sense of being violated was lingering in me. It's happened any time I've had a vehicle I own broken into (over the 25 years I've owned vehicles, I've had them broken into 6 times, back in the days when people stole car stereos or CD binders from cars) and I sort of knew I'd be off balance for a while.

With Brewster's Brood 14 live and out, that only leaves Quaranteam 42 to round out the month of public releases on Friday 4/29. I've still got two commissions pending, one of which is almost done and the other of which hasn't been started yet, but both will be finished before the end of the month. Quaranteam chapters are generally the easiest thing on my writing slate for the month, simply because I've spent so much time with those characters.

Next week, I think I'm going to open with Quaranteam: Piper's Prelude 2 on 5/3, and follow it with Quaranteam 43 on 5/6, simply because that weekend I'm a bit packed with things to do. (The new Dr. Strange movie on Thursday night and I'm seeing a concert on that Friday.)

For the voting tiers, there will be a poll going up tomorrow on what I'm writing for 5/10, and 5/13 will be Brewster's Brood 15.

As per usual, here's the public release schedule for the next month:  4/30 - QT 39, 5/7 - Morgana's Gift 9, 5/14 - QT: Phil 5, 5/21 - Janus Coins: John's Story 3, 5/28 - Quaranteam 40. I'm looking forward to seeing the public reaction especially when Morgana's Gift 9 hits, because the Midas Day chapter got quite the strong reaction from my patrons, who got it a few months back.

As for this week's music, I'm going to leave you with the act I'm going to see next Friday. If you're in the UK (or Europe in general) you know who they are, but they remain relatively unknown here in the states. I've seen them half a dozen times live and they always put on an amazing show. So if you're going to see Biffy Clyro at The Fillmore in San Francisco next week, know your humble author is in the crowd somewhere. For the rest of you, check out the mix of pop, metal and prog that is Biffy Clyro...
