I swear to you, on Saturday afternoon, I was ahead of schedule on everything for this week, halfway through some commissions and like a third of the way into the piece I posted today. Then my fucking car got broken into. Some assholes smashed one of my windows and rifled through my car, only to find that, like any sane human being, I don't keep anything of fucking value in my fucking car. The car is pretty new, having been bought last year, but one thing I didn't fucking need was a $500+ bill that I have to pay out of pocket.

The last few days have been partially taken up by calling my insurance company (it's under my deductable, so they aren't covering shit) as well as local glass shops, only to be told there's a fucking glass shortage and that most of them would have to custom order the part, which would be six to eight weeks. Supposedly the window's getting replaced tomorrow, and we will see if getting it fixed take the edge off of my attitude, which has been raw and angry for days now.

All of that anger and rage got funneled into the story I'd started, the first chapter of The Seven Secrets of Mr. Magpie, a seven-part story that has a beginning, middle and end worked out, but turned out quite a bit more extreme than I'd originally planned it to, something that I imagine will carry through the rest of it, so if the first chapter is a bit much for you, I absolutely get that, and you should probably take a pass on the rest of them when they eventually come out. For those of you who've wanted to see something meaner and darker from me, there's definitely a stripe of that in this story.

Friday 4/22 will be the next chapter of If I'm Honest and hopefully I'm in the right headspace for that. That'll be up relatively early, because I have a rather busy weekend planned. Next week is Brewster's Brood 14 on 4/26 and Quaranteam 42 of 4/29. I'll also be throwing up a bunch of polls for the voting tiers over the next week, covering what I'm writing for the first votable week in May, as well as which girls are guaranteed sex scenes and profiles in Brewster's Brood and Quaranteam in that month.

As per usual, here's the public release schedule for the next month: 4/16 - Janus Coins: John's Story 2, 4/23 - Morgana's Gift 8, 4/30 - QT 39, 5/7 - Morgana's Gift 9, 5/14 - QT: Phil 5, 5/21 - Janus Coins: John's Story 3, 5/28 - Quaranteam 40.

And for the music for the week, here's a little forgotten gem from the early 90s for when you're in a frustrated mood. I'll get over it. It just sucks.

Sorry to hear about your car. I love Ugly Kid Joe's version of Cats In The Craddle.
