Just time for a quick update on where everything is and what we're looking at in the coming weeks, starting with this week's post, Quaranteam Chapter 31. ... It's done, thank you for coming. ... Just kidding. I started writing it on Monday, with the intent that I was going to sit down and knock out a couple thousand words. Some 7.5k words later, and I knew this chapter had a bunch of unpacking to do, and a whole lot of plot to lay out. I'm a bit stretched on time today, but will definitely hammer out the rest of it tomorrow and am anticipating making the 11/5 targeted release date with no problem. It makes the first appearance of Katie Couric in our story, you guys, and the road is only going to get rockier for Andy as the day of interviews starts to happen, and plenty of laundry is aired. I know exactly how that chapter ends, but I just have to figure out how much is between where I am now, and that chapter end. The next few chapters have a lot of bombshells being dropped, and I don't mean that in the Love Island kind of way. Shots fired, friends. Shots fired.

For the two weeks past this one, I think I'm going to call an audible and make a switcheroo, with the next section of Brewster's Brood arriving on 11/12 and the next chapter of Morgana's Gift moving to 11/19 as I feel like the BB stuff is still hot in my head, and I like the idea of banging that out next week, which will give me a little more time to ease back into the Morgana's style, having been away from it for a while. As announced in the previous update, I'll be splitting this BB post into two, posting the first half on the 12th and the second half later in the month, probably 11/29. It's been fun working with the concept that the protagonist of Brewster's Brood is also, in many ways, the antagonist for all the girls in the story, who mostly just want one thing from him. Lotta sex in this one.

Also working towards being within expectations, Quaranteam: Phil's Tale Chapter 1 is mostly blocked out now in terms of outlining process, and just from the outline structure, the massive differences between Andy and Phil will be immediately obvious. PT1 opens a few months before QT1 does, and will do a lot of world building but is still going to make time for a little bit of sexy good times, but probably not at all how you expect it to be. It will be at least 2-4 chapters of PT before it gets caught up to QT1, as we get a bit more insight into what the plague actually is and how everything went so terribly wrong. All signs point to the targeted release date of 11/23 being entirely viable.  As stated before, commissioned works don't have set release windows other than "once a month," but it'll always happen sometime during the month.

That just leaves 11/26 as the unknown release for the month, and I haven't yet decided what that's going to be. Likely another QT chapter, but it's nearly a month away, so we'll see how I'm feeling as we move onward into the latter half of November. I might decide to put together another If I'm Honest chapter as well. I'm also considering doing more Silversmith stuff in the future, although now that the story's been out and live for a little bit, I can tell you a little more how that would work.

Future Silversmith stuff is likely to come in the form of 2-4 chapter long mini stories, and often told completely out of chronological order. That means any given Silversmith story could take place at any point during the protagonist's long and complicated life. I did a lot of the world building in my brainhole already, and I think I have an idea of what the first one would be, and it actually takes place significantly before the events of "A Treat's Trick," even before the events referenced in that. It would be a chance to do a different length of format, where, in essence, it's a series of interconnected short stories, told in parts.

Expect Silversmith stuff to be an option in voter polls moving forward, and I may just do the first chapter of the first one at some point in December anyway, to sort of set the stage for that, and let everyone see what those tales will look like. I'm anticipating those stories to be mostly 1st person POVs, but not necessarily always told from Silversmith's POV. I might do one story from Kelly's POV. I might do one from the POV of the person Silversmith is dealing with. I sort of built the character structure flexible enough that I can always be mixing it up with how I approach new stories, and if it isn't working, well, we're in and out within a handful of chapters, and the next story can try something very different.

Also of note, I think I'm going to make the weekly update posts visible to everyone moving forward, not just patrons, so people can see what's going on and maybe that'll encourage more people to join in. Thanks to everyone who's already supporting me. I can't say it enough.

Anyway, that's where everything's at for the time being, and as always, your thoughts and opinions are not only welcomed, they are encouraged. See you all on Friday!

Just don't make PT into a poor man's Fear The Walking Dead which was much inferior IMO that The Walking Dead was. Just do your thing and make it great. I know you can do it.

Corrupting Power

Well, I've never watched any of Walking Dead or Fear The Walking Dead, but PT will fill in a lot of the details around how the plague developed, affected people, how the treatment came to be, and how New Eden sprung up, as well. It'll be a different story, and it's still going to cross over with the standard QT quite a bit as it carries on.

Is the first chapter of Silversmith up somewhere?
