So, bad news, good news situation here, friends. Bad news - it's increasingly unlikely that the first section of "Brewster's Brood" will be posted today, but I assure you, it will be out and available before the end of the week. Nailing the first chapter of stories usually leaves you plenty of room to finagle, but in this case, the set up for the story lays down a number of rules and structural guidelines that I have to follow for the rest of the piece, so it's vitally important that I get them right. I will have it done by Friday at the latest, and if I'm lucky, maybe even tomorrow.  The opening block is two sections, and the second half will basically fly right by in terms of writing, but the first half has to be done with laser-like precision, for reasons that will become painfully apparent the minute you read it. BB might be one of the most gonzo ideas I've ever attempted in fiction, so I hope you'll understand my need to make sure the opening salvo sets the stage properly.

Secondly, I wanted to let everyone know that there will be something new going to EMCSA this week, but I will be posting it here first. What the fuck does THAT mean? Well, I wanted to get a post over up at EMCSA announcing the Patreon, but I didn't want to just drop them a nothingburger, nor did I want them to have the new chapter of QT that I just delivered to my patrons, so what I'm going to do is this -- I'd been planning to do another Dramatis Personae post, listing all the major characters in QT, and giving basic descriptions of all of them, so I'm going to write that up this week as well, and will post it here before sending it off to EMCSA, although it may be close in terms of time, i.e. I may post it here at like 2 a.m. on Saturday, only ten hours or so before the EMCSA update goes live. There won't be any plot in this Dramatis Personae post whatsoever, but it is a significant amount of writing and compiling to do, and should end up being fairly long, and will enable me to push out a message to all the QT fans from that site who've never written in to me, so that they know the Patreon exists, instead of having to wait until the middle of October.

Finally, I made one adjustment to the price tiers of the Patreon. The l3 tier pricing has come down from $20 to $15. Nobody's signed up for it yet, and a number of people have asked me "how do I make sure I get a new chapter of X at some point soon?" Well, the T3 patrons have access to a poll right now in which they can vote on which story is guaranteed to get a new chapter in the middle of October. If it stays at no T3 patrons, that means zero votes and I'll just choose something myself. If you don't feel comfortable kicking in at that level, hey, I feel you friend, and I completely get it, so do not beat yourself up over it in the slightest.

The goal is to have something new each and every week, and so far for launch week, I've been going at it a little hard, but moving forward, expect generally one post a week of fiction, and probably one update post of some kind, but this is all jazz right now, and we're playing it by ear.

Anyway, tldr;

  • Brewster's Brood first post before the end of the week
  • QT Dramatis Personae update before the end of the week here and to EMCSA this weekend
  • T3 patron tier price lowered
  • Average week - 1 story post, 1 update post

Oh, and feel free to ask questions on the Discord any time you want! Or shoot me an email!

A "who's who" for Quaranteam is an excellent idea.

I’ve re-read QT about a dozen times so I’m fairly comfortable with who it who today. BUT since the world has ballooned with the arrival at New Eden I can see this being a much needed mapping to have. Also, I like the idea of announcing to more people about the Patreon and Discord server. I have a hunch there will be a lot of chatter in there eventually.

I do appreciate a plot to go along with all the fucky-fucky-licky-licky, and you have woven a cracking good story with plenty of opportunity for the kiddies to get off. Really like how you've left yourself the option to have Eric's world and Kevin's world from Morgana's Gift collide in the future. Keep up the fine writing!
