Weekly Update - 4/10/24 (Patreon)

This goddamn week.

So I have a theory. Everyone has a friend who is habitually doing favors for everyone else, trying to do anything they can to help out and make things better for those around them. And those friends are notorious for never, ever, ever asking for help... until one day they do.

My phone rang on Friday afternoon, and I answered it accordingly: "Well, you've either finally met your match with a producer who's driving you crazy, or you've finally got a girlfriend hot enough that you need me to fall on a sword and be her sister's date to something..."

My friend laughed for a good minute straight, and then told me it was the former, and that he needed help, immediately, and it was going to be a shitty week for me, but that the pay would make up for it, and I would, in his words, be doing him a favor.

You can't turn down friends like that.

So yeah, most of the last week, I've been listening to some of the stupidest notes imaginable, and trying to help some friends salvage their project from its well-meaning (if a bit directionless) producers, who were, sadly, right in the first place when their first note was that the project had gotten quite off the rails.

That's usually when I get called in, but it was a little shocking to hear them say so upfront.

But now I'm done with that, and I'm going to try and get caught up on things, especially since, once I get past this weekend, I have basically nothing scheduled for the next two weeks, unless another of my friends comes offering me the finest maidens in the land in exchange for me unfucking the mess they've made for themselves. But what are the odds of that happening twice in one year, right?

I got through Breakpoint and posted that, and I'm midway through QT2:24 which I'm hoping to have tomorrow or Friday, and then it's a return to Morgana's Gift, which The Selectors decided to make our next thing. I'm judging some Magic: The Gathering prereleases on Friday and Saturday, and I also have to do my taxes tomorrow, so worst case scenario, it'll be Sunday.

Then expect the floodgates to open next week, while I'm pouring out content.
