For this week’s throwback thursday, enjoy this wholesome little nature writing I did when I was 11. I had a forest in my backyard growing up which inspired me a lot. I never knew how lucky I was until I moved away.

“I sit on this fallen tree, closing my eyes, listening to the world around me. Birds sing, deer yelp, and chipmunks squeek. As I softly rock back and forth I can sense the spirtits watching over me. I hear the creek water fall over the rocks and the animals rustleing through the crisp leaves. I taste the dry air as I open my eyes to see the amzing world around me. Green plants all around me, ferns, grass, moss, leaves. And oh the trees! The trees’ are home to the forest animals. The forest animals that are always taking care of me, the animals that are so amazing that they can survive this big jungle. small pieces of moss and bark fall sofly wiping me skin.

As I sit on this fallen tree.......”
