First of all, I wish you all the best for 2024! Friendship, fun, health, love, peace... and happy simming of course!

My Simming year starts pretty bad. I was about to re-open my work-in-progress folder, where I had two sets under work that I had left the time of the Advent Calendar... and, horror, I simply can't find these WIP anymore... I usually make back-ups but I haven't for a while because my back-up drive was making too weird noises and was hard to boot, I wanted to get a new one.
I don't know what happened with these two sets, I must have deleted them while deleting working files about the Advent calendar. Right now, I feel a bit (a lot, to say the truth, one of the sets was almost finished!) discoraged and I don't even know if I'm going to start on these again from scratch or starting on something new (it won't make much difference for you, but it means I'll be late at uploading January updates (but there will be in January!)

Très bonne année 2024 et merci pour tout ce beau travail au fil des ans.

I've been there with other projects. I'm sorry the time and effort that went into the work was lost. <3

I'm so sorry you lost content, Sandy. You do so much for our games, we never really know how much you do that we don't see. We appreciate everything you create for everyone. I hope you won't feel too discouraged. < 3

it's happened to me many, many times...both with stuff for Sims 4 and for other things. But it DID make me get that external hard drive a bit more quicker so I could have my backups. Take a deep breath and start again on those but only if you want to.

Well that's to bad. Have you tried searching the machine writing the project name or just one word, it might be there but not necessarily where u believed it to be. I have made that type of mistake before if my mind is busy with other things. Lots of love <3

Sorry to hear what has happened, Sandy. Here is to a renewed sense of peace and the knowledge that we're all here rooting you from the sidelines. Whether you choose to remake or not, know that we appreciate you and share your losses with you. Stay safe.
