Thank you so much for "patreon" me, lovely people!

See, I'm already going to make you work! Summer is usually the time I begin to work on my Advent calendar, and this year, I'm going to try something special: your own requests!
So you can request an object you'd like to offer to one of your Sims (don't worry, you can request gifts for several Sims!). It has to be something that can really be gifted for Christmas (not a complete bedroom set!), and, ideally, something that would fit under a Christmas tree (hmmm.... nope, that Ferrari might not fit! ;))

If I ever have too many suggestions, I'll ask to the CC Hoarders and CC Professional Collectors to vote for their favorite suggestions.

Please, send your suggestions in the comments!

FIRST! I love your work. Since I started playing Sims 1 I have been downloading your items. My sister and I were huge fans of your work. I still check your page every Friday or Saturday to see what you created. Tbh, I wouldn't have wishes for specific items. :S I am a "completionist" and looooved your Grocery Store Set. I wish you would expand on that. Same goes for your bakery items. And I would loooooove to have a Chocolatier again in Sims 4. So yeah, this is not really Christmas related. ;) And yeah, there's a common thread for me, but that stems from being a pâtissière. ;)

aroundthesims

Thank you very much for your support, lovely words and suggestions, Petite Cerise! (what a lovely nickname! ;)) Actually, Christmas is always related to chocolates, isn't it, so even if it's not in the Advent calendar, a Chocolatier set could be indeed something for December! If you have any specific items/ideas for bakery, please ask! One of my favorite Sim is a pâtissière, so far, I think I gave her all she needed, but I probably forgot TONS of things, not being a professional! :D (I might be a professional patisserie eater, does it count? ;))

I actually love all the Vahine products you added some time ago. :) Will miss those things after I move back to Germany (on the other hand, I only need 30 minutes to France anyway). The weird thing is actually, when you go to a French supermarket, even if it is a well-sorted one like Leclerc, the pastry section is so empty compared to that same section in Germany. Seems strange as France is the country of pâtisserie. :O If you have a Sim you play as a pastry chef, maybe add some decor cakes? There are great cakes around which could be in here window display! That kind of decor can also be used by players who decorate for parties or weddings. :) So it is not limited to "just" one thing. https://www.instagram.com/lapetitecerisebakes/?hl=en All the cakes were before I did my training in France, I haven't made cakes since the Corona virus started to spread, no one to eat it and I didn't want to waste perfectly fine food. And yeaaahhh! A chocolatier set is always great. I used the old set from Sims 3 a bazillion times. I always loved the Community sets especially because it could be used to decorate a town centre or a mall etc. I just realized I use your content for nearly 20 years now. OMFG, I am old!!!!!

SimSaraLove

Ooooh, what a great idea! I'll have to think about this and let you know what I come up with!

Anonymous

haha Oui l'idée est rigolote je trouve avec un gros Noeu , et j'ai même une seconde idée , Une clefs dans un coffret accompagné d'un acte de propriété par exemple ! :)

Any kind of boxed electronics! TVs, Laptops, Desktops, Tablets, Smartphones, Headphones, etc...kids get these more than toys these days. These are the toys now lol. For adults, they usually get boring stuff unfortunately. Socks and clothes in those crappy little boxes that fall apart, boxed kitchen appliances...a watch? Candles. Oh, I forgot. The YA book community loves boxed sets of books series as gifts :)

Ree Barkla

Car care products [Car Wash bucket etc], kitchen appliances, CD's Dvd;s

aroundthesims

Yeah, car care? I wouldn't have thought about that (I don't even have a car! :D), but it makes sense, above all in Sims 3 for "car lovers". I'll have to investigate on that matter because I know NOTHING about car care! If there's anything specific appliance you think about, please ask! I've done already so many (including for an advent calendar), that my inspiration dried on that! :) Thanks for your suggestions, everything is now listed! :)

aroundthesims

Book series! Yeah! There's a lot of electronics I've done (sometimes my problem is "ok... what have I NOT done during all those years?!" :D), but I'm adding that to the list too. :) Thanks for your suggestions, Bailey!

Anonymous

Stuffed animals maybe? Something fun like a swan or hedgehog?

Anonymous

More edible foods, maybe something for elder sims to wear, more board games or elctronics?

aroundthesims

Good ideas! Any specific food you'd like to offer to your Simmies? Or specific games/electronics? :)

Uiako

Hi, I'm a new patron. But I would personally like to see fans. You know how there are functional ceiling fans. Would love to see though!! And stand up fans.

Anonymous

I use your smart speakers a whole bunch, but I'd love a couple more options - including maybe a wall-mounted one, or one designed to look like those waterproof Bluetooth speakers you can listen to in the shower/bath? (PS, I've been using your CC since literally Sims 1 and you've been a staple of my game forever; thank you so much for everything! You have your own sections in my obsessively organised downloads folder because there's so much of your stuff it's sometimes hard to see what else is there 😂 I'm always so impressed with your advent calendars especially - they seem like such a labour of love and there are SO many things from them I use constantly in-game!)

Anonymous

I always feel like there aren't enough options for the big playable/interactable stuffed animals. I'd love some that looked kind of well-loved and older, too!

Anonymous

Ohhh also, teapots! A million years ago plasticbox on MTS made a tea machine that is just a teapot, which I love, but it's super old now and there aren't many colour options and I've only ever found one person who has made a few recolours, and they still don't go in every kitchen.

aroundthesims

Listed! And with those heat waves we have, I guess a fan can now be considered as a valuable gift! :))

aroundthesims

Aww, since Sims 1! :))))) It makes me so happy that you've been following my CC for so long! I like the idea of new models for smart speakers! I'm adding that to the list! :)

aroundthesims

Tea pots! You might have noticed that every single year of the Advent calendar, I make a tea pot (decorative), because I love that! I've quite learnt about modding lately, and I think I could now turn them into usable tea pots. Plus, I could draw new models, of course, because I tend to consider that every single house needs a tea pot, and a different one from the neighbor if possible! :D Thanks for your suggestions, Persephone!

Anonymous

A sewing machine! I loved the sewing machine in Sims2 & always wanted one for S3. Maybe it could be like the Shop from Pedestal mod??

aroundthesims

Sewing machine is on my to-do list, but not for the Advent calendar but for a complete sewing room, which should be available before Christmas. :)

Anonymous

Sewing machine for sims 4. 😁 I need to open a sewing/yarn shop. 🤣

aroundthesims

I couldn't make it functional, though. New animations, new sounds, that's really not something I can handle. Would it be worth if it was decorative only? (or at least functioning as a seat? :/)

Amy Murphy

Maybe like a VCR or DVD player that works as the same as the data storage bank for watching home vidoes in Generations? I use The Transmogrifier (aka Object Script Changer) to change a stack of VHS tapes (deco object) into the data storage bank so that it looks more fitting in traditional or retro homes, but an actual player might be a cute idea.

Anonymous

New plants and recipes? PS your work is absolutely wonderful.

Amy Murphy

Oh! I can't believe I forgot this one, it's one that's been on my mind for moooonths haha. When I was a teenager my favourite present to get from family at Christmas was posters for my bedroom. Band posters, comic book posters, TV posters, movie posters, game posters, pin-up sex icons (actors, singers, etc), location posters, any type of print that reflected a special interest of mine. I've always got my eyes open for nice posters for my teen Sims' rooms and so far I've hoovered up all the 4t3 conversions I can find (TS4 has such a cute array of prints I'm so grateful that we can use them in TS3 now) but there's a definite lack of high-quality, Simlish, Maxis Match options out there. When I'm decorating my teens' bedrooms I find that I run out of choices very quickly and it gets repetitive. I'd love to have more, especially if they were made by you seeing as you produce such lovely work. <3

Crimson FireCat

Honestly anything nerdy or witchy are my ideal presents, but also consider making some BAD presents (socks, ugly sweaters, homemade stuff, money, etc)

Anonymous

hi hun, was looking for like 12 pack of soda cans like pepsi, dog treats, dog shampoo, hedge trimmers, weed wacker, water pack, folgers coffee can(or other brand), real portrait of a jack russell for a wall, dish satilite box for my tv,hose reel for outdoor, pool floats. i want to thank you so much for your hard work! Take care and God Bless

aroundthesims

Dogs should indeed have more Christmas gifts! Treats are a good idea! I'm noting down all those ideas. Doh, pool floaters, I wanted to make some for my beach thema, but I got sidetracked by other ideas on the same subject! I've made dog shampoos, though: https://aroundthesims3.com/objects/room_petslife_05.shtml https://sims4.aroundthesims3.com/objects/pets_04.shtml

Jessica

Maybe a sim wants to open a spice market or fish market...gifts can help a sim get started. :)

Jessica

Or jewelry and jewerly displays or puppy presents or (deco) foods. Thank you for all your hard work! You have made playing Sims way more fun (I like building and decorating towns)!

Anonymous

Electronics (computers, gaming systems, tv, phone, tablet, etc). All of the knitted items, especially socks (who hasn't received an unwanted pair of socks from a family member on Christmas?) I feel like all those knitty grannies in the game will want to give all of their creations to their grandkids xD

Anonymous

Playgrounds (slides, swings etc)

Anonymous

A Nintendo Switch, toys for witch kids or vampire kids, jewelry, superhero figurines/toys, more of those critter cards (don't even know if it's possible), Christmas socks, knitted hats, make your own candle set, painting by numbers...

Anonymous

Nintendo Switch with all Joy-Con colors, preferably with swatches for all the special/limited editions (I'd love a Zelda variation along with Mario & Luigi; Nintendo missed an opportunity), and a Switch Lite with all variations. Knitted Yarn Yoshi, Poochy, Mega Yarn Yoshi, Kirby, and Link (there was a "Nintendo Land" attraction called "The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest" with a very crafted/knitted look) plushies would be great! :)

aroundthesims

I see there's a consensus around the Switch! Switch there will be! :)))

MistyWoods

Some kind of wine kit? Like one of the fancy rabbit corkscrews, some nice glasses, aerators, etc?

aroundthesims

Ahaha, you know, I'm happy you asked that, because it's an idea I have for few years, and I keep postponing it thinking nobody but me would need that for their games. If we're two at wanting that for our Sims, it's worth meshing it! ;D

Crimson FireCat

Oh, more occult sim-themed items, especially for kids/toddlers would be awesome!

Anonymous

special toddler teddies like loveys, rif rafs ect something different to the standard bear.

Anonymous

I would love more furniture : )

Anonymous

I'd like a return of the sims teddy bear (inv placeable, buff when slept with in inv, etc). Perhaps a portable gaming system (like a switch).

Anonymous

I'd like some jewelry gifts, maybe choosing a ring to propose with?

Anonymous

I have thought for a while about all of the little holiday crafts we did in school as kids and how neat it would be to have a child create a little ornament or personalized card and give it to their parents as a gift. Perhaps also books or items that are about or related to hobbies that don't necessarily give them skill but perhaps other creative bonuses like inspired? Like Upgraded paint brushes or something to give to an artist or a new stylus if they use the slablet and when those small items are in their inventory and they go to draw there is a chance for inspired buffs or something. Could do like a tackle box for fishing and a new knife set for cooking. It's a much more personal gift that way and would be neat even if it didn't have any functionality.

Anonymous

a biorb!

KarinL

I would love a few items that would fit into historical settings in different periods. Like stone age "pebble" toddler toys. Or really simple dog chew toys that just look like sticks (and don't squeek) and crude balls? Or something really futuristic-looking. And I always love more deco and clutter. And maybe CAS-accessories like more rings, or earrings... Or even longer socks for guys...

Rachel Amy Richter

A working snow globe and one that uses glitter as an option :D

Cassie Marina

useable skateboards and a bus for my many sims to sit in! would love these additions in my game!

Anonymous

more toys for kids. more playmats for babies. pet furniture. stroller

DragonElla

Occult things would be wonderful! Elder-centric stuff too! Or, maybe more toddler toys?

Anonymous

EZ Bake oven for children would be the bees knees ☺

SimSaraLove

I have asked around in Bimlico for wishes for Christmas ;) I know a little boy who wishes for a new fishing rod, little girls wish for dolls (maybe something a bit like this one that my daughter has: https://ovellie.dk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/OE-Dinkum-Doll-BoyGirl-Tiny-web_800x.jpg). The adults wishes for teas and coffees (custom drinks) in various different cups. And candleholders to put candlesticks in!

michela santori

some toddler functional walkers :)

SimSaraLove

It seems that I didn't properly re-post when I edited my comment, because I remember also seconding the wishes for homemade gifts - what a cute idea! Drawings, painting, ugly figurines and bowls made of clay *lol* Or maybe candleholders? I have the candles that One Billion Pixels made a million years ago, but not really anything to put the candles on *chuckle* And is it clear what I mean with the custom drinks in different cups? I'd just really like different options for teas and coffees, so I can make a teapot into a foodmaker and then set the beverage to a tea in the matching cup :D

Amy Murphy

Something popped into my head this week that I thought might be a good suggestion - maybe some decorative annuals, like the books that kids/teens get at Christmas sometimes? I used to get annuals for The Simpsons or Groovy Chick and things like that, but perhaps you could do some more generically themed sets like pop music, sports, dance, comic books, video games, science, travel, etc? Or even like gift sets that have similar themes?

Bento box stuff

How about functional make up or perfume that adds something like "smell/looking good" buffs ??
