Hello!

In last week's status update, we said that it can be quite relaxing to do some post-processing from time to time... well, scratch that. Post-processing sucks, especially when there's thousands of renders work through. Luckily we've been doing some light post-processing throughout the entire development instead of saving everything to the very end, like we did in some previous chapters. Either way, we finally eliminated all the issues from a couple of scenes that were littered with consistency issues.

Alongside the fixes, new renders are coming along great as well. Some branching choices in previous scenes still require extra renders. These renders will be created this weekend, plus any additional renders that we've tagged as missing.

We've managed to keep up with the render queue these past few weeks despite the summer heat. We're still unsure if we'll be able to contribute to this European summer with our own dose of some summer heat, but it's looking good currently! And just a small reminder that each status update is accompanied by a progress bar which slowly fades in with color. When it's fully colored in, we are done making renders/animations and waiting for them to render. A release date will then be announced!

The previous update we had an overall percentage system. For the next dev cycle, we'll have separate categories for everything and count percentages individually for each category. Scripting, renders, post-processing, coding, SFX and so on. Hopefully that will make it easier to follow what we're doing. Artistic rendition below. Don't mind the artist's skills, however...

But what would you like to read about in the status updates? Should we keep it short and simple with numbers and statistics, or should we go more in-depth about what we do? We try to keep accountable as best as we can and we're always looking for ways to improve.

Last but not least, this week we've also been focusing on Eve's scene. Mainly, creating the renders for it. Her scene will open up a little bit more about her and give a taste of what's to come. Or not! It all depends on whether she likes you or not and if you've chosen to ignore her. Choices do matter, after all.

Other news

Bree won the special render poll for July. We've already decided on a theme as well, and it will be related to working out!

Cheers,
