patreon devlog update 9:heart of darkness (Patreon)

so last week we saw part of the very last cutscene of the second level, this week i worked instead of something that happens a bit before that. So.. zap and andy have managed to penetrate from andy's memory into dab's lair and they start messing around with the place, in order to find out how to overthrow the dream demon.

at first he lets them do what they want ,confident in his power, but as get closer to opening the mysterious Sid shaped portal, Dab gets fed up and uses his absolute control of his dream dimension to turn zap and andy into helpless toys.

the boys will have to solve one last puzzle to get out of this situation, and then the door to the sid shaped portal will open. Dab's friend will get curious and enter it, much to the dismay of the dream demon who will try to dissuade sid in every way possible, failing.

sid room is an unassuming warehouse. The young demon wonders if his lazyness and lack of drive influenced his mind so much to empty it completely. But there's a fuse switch further in, sid goes and flips it..

sid's true passion and calling in life is revealed! he was always supposed to be a conqueror demon, enslaver of civilizations and destroyer of worlds!

He was always destined for greatness and his role was to ultimately bring another era of darkness to the mortals... and dab knew that very well. Dab knew that if Sid followed his dreams and true calling he would've had 0 chances of keeping sid as his best friend, so he entered in his mind and sealed off that part of his brain, so they could chill in hell and in the motel for as long as they wanted. but well , some things are bound to surface sooner or later.

that's it for today, tomorrow i think i'll work on sid's true form, a form fitting for a conqueror! anyways hope you're having a great weekend, i'll see you tomorrow and sunday!
