OOF! These chapters!! I'd say this is the darkest the story gets to this degree. Did she get raped? I'd say she didn't. I think she was assaulted for sure, but her old instincts kicked in and she slew the lot of them. The blood on her was their blood. Casca is also very food motivated..... Guts was a bit surprised by what she did and then he just lost it. I often think of the line that Casca says to Guts that she wants a wound that he too has given her because he has sacrificed so much blood for her already. She wants to repay that with her own blood. I know it's a figure of speech made in the throes of love making, but, well, he just gave her that wound, but not out of love but out of frustration. Guts knows he is not the same as he used to be, nor is she, but I do believe he still loves her. It's a different kind of love now, yes, it's the memory of what used to be, but she is the only person who he has a true connection with. He cannot let that go, even though his dark thoughts urge him to destroy her and be free of her. She still burns in his heart. Ah yes, we see our little party form. Isidro, ( Guts's new son :D) Farnese and Serpico. Farnese takes the knee in order to follow Guts. The old her would never have done this. She has become a truth seeker. She thinks the truth lies with following Guts, I'd say, that's a good start. We shall see where this goes. I commend anyone who is willing to change their entire way of thinking to better themselves. Her being a Noble is quite the risk she is taking upon herself to do this. She does look good with short hair as well; I prefer that to her pigtails. Yes, Guts recognizes he cannot do this alone anymore. He needs people to help him. Does he like it? I'd say he doesn't right now. But, you know, you got to do what you got to do! Will this benefit Casca as you asked? Oh, hell yeah!! On some level I'm sure that Guts also recognizes this as well. She has been alone for two freakin yrs, a prisoner, she needs to be free of that prison as well as himself. The light is kinda at the end of the tunnel, or a different light, it's called, companions. He needs help to swing that sword. As far as the new Band of the Hawk is concerned, Irvine is my favorite new apostle. He is the archer dude. I'm with you on making Griffith suffer.... let's just see what happens. This new arc isn't called the Millenium Falcon for nothing!
