Happy early birthday!! How has my weekend been? So far, I've planted a bunch of propagated baby plants, so I've been playing in the dirt basically. In Texas news, we are fucked as a state..... kind of reminds me of the third arc of Berserk in some ways..... just some ways, not all. Yeah, Corkus is really good in the manga! I can't disagree with what he is saying either. Yes, he can be an ass hole, but we have grown to love that grumpy bastard. I myself, am in the Corkus fan club! I think its funny that Guts does not see himself as Griffith's equal and therefore not fit for Casca's affections when he actually has surpassed Griffith is some ways. Everyone wants to ignore this and really they don't give Guts the credit he deserves. Heck, Guts doesnt even give himself enough credit! The duel is different than in the anime. You really get a look into everyone's mind to see what they are thinking. Griffith really comes across as a jilted ex - boyfriend who is going to commit spousal abuse. "If I cant have him, aint no one gonna have him!!!" Notice how Casca gets in-between them, she sides with Guts, she does not go to Griffith's side at all. yeah, she is just discovering her feelings for Guts.... a little too late. I think its funny that Corkus, of all people, can't accept that Guts is leaving..... He did love him after all! What a Tsundere! And then we have........ Calcium Chan! Bone Daddy! Skull Knight!!! He is most definitely not in the anime. I'd say, this is the first introduction of a major player since Zodd. Like Zodd, he gives Guts a warning. So Guts has heard this prophecy from Zodd warning of Griffith's downfall when his ambition fails and now SK gives him a time in which it will occur and the name of the event. Also, Griffith has not heard these prophecies only Guts and maybe some members of the Band of the Hawk. BTW, I love both Zodd and Skull Knight. We are getting into characters that if you are anime only, ( except the movies) you would not know about. Talk about characters, there is a large world out there. My favorite character ( besides Guts) we haven't even met yet! And we wont for a while. So we have Puck and now Skull Knight. I havent been to a comic con or anime expo in like 30 yrs. I stopped going when the price went over 10 dollars. Hope you enjoy yourself!!!!
