Ayrin surprised by Dotto (Patreon)

I've made this one (the original was copic on paper) at the last comicon I attended. I was immediately satisfied by the idea, in particular the detail of Dotto entering in the pool in the background. As soon as I finished, I asked to make a photo in order to re-elaborate the illustration by Photoshop. I worked mostly to add a proper light effect on Ayrin, cause in the original I colored her as if the light was coming from her front, instead of her back, but there wasn't any source of light there. I've fixed it with three bright orange flying crystals. They give to the atmosphere a more warm appeal too, and I like it.

Ho realizzato questa illustrazione (intendo l'originale, che era copic su cartoncino) allo scorso Festival del Fumetto di Novegro. L'idea di inserire il dettaglio di Dotto che entra nella piscina mi ha subito intrigato, e non appena ho finito di disegnare il tutto, ho chiesto subito di poter fotografare il lavoro. La mia intenzione era, ovviamente, quella di rielaborare l'opera con Photoshop. Ho lavorato essenzialmente all'obiettivo di aggiungere un punto luce extra sul corpo di Ayrin, visto che nell'originale l'avevo ombreggiata come se fosse illuminata da davanti, anche se in effetti la luce sembrava provenire solo da dietro le sue spalle. Inserendo quei tre cristalli luminosi arancioni ho anche reso l'atmosfera un po' più "calda", che non guasta mai.
