Status update (Patreon)

Varanar, Night Three has been fully planned out. The first step of scaffolding, being creating all of the 150+ required files to make this monster of a scene work, has been completed. However, this is way too much to fully scaffold in one go. If I were to attempt to scaffold this whole scene, it would take an entire week of work, and even then I might not yet be finished. A real problem, since next week Friday the new character sheet is supposed to release!

So, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to try something new, which is a mixture of programming and writing. Starting today, I'm going to create the code needed for a part of the scene, then write out that part, and then move on to the next. That way, I don't need to spend a long-ass time doing things to facilitate content, and instead just directly get started on the content itself!

I'm going to do this until Wednesday, when I hope to release the next update, pushing everything I've managed to finish. Why Wednesday? Because there's a character sheet due Friday! I say this every time, but it probably won't be as big as the last one. Still, it'll be another solid two days of writing.

What do I hope to include in Wednesday's update? I hope to nibble away at the introduction to Night Three, and after that, I intend to start working on one of the major paths available. I might not finish it completely, but I hope to get a decent chunk of it done. I'll include the full scene tree on aMap once I push my work on Wednesday, so you guys can see just how big of a segment Night Three will be. Sort of like Enslavement, Night Two, but more deep and less wide.

Let me tell you, there's some real spicy things planned for this scene. It's going to take a while to make, but the result will most definitely be worth it. Like Enslavement, Night Two, I will bounce between things when I grow weary of the inn-setting. I might make Forest -> Varanar, part two, somewhere this month, or maybe next month. And there's also still some guest-written content that needs adding. A lot of work! But we'll get through it, one step at a time.

Varanar, Night Three is where some of your previous choices really begin to matter. If you've pissed a certain group of people off, then they're going to have their revenge. And that won't be an easy thing to avoid, at all! Some people have prided themselves on maintaining their kobold's virginity, until now. That's going to get a lot harder, starting Night Three onwards. Of course, there's always a way to escape the looming sword of Damocles. You might have to make some sacrifices, though.

Shirts will be ordered later today. And that's pretty much all I have to say for now! Update on Wednesday, character sheet on Friday (although it might not be as big as Red's).
