As you may have noticed, the poll for what to do next has ended. The Farmer's Maid end scene was selected, so that's what I'll be working on next. It'll feature a pretty gory start, but this can optionally be skipped. Since this is an end scene, every branch ends without the option to revert or continue. It will be the first end scene featured in the game.

I'll talk more about this scene as it grows closer to completion. It'll probably be released in multiple parts, depending on how big it ends up being. It won't be as detailed as my normal writing, since it entails describing days, weeks, months and even years of the kobold's new life, much like the bull end. Still, some events will be focused upon. 

I've already started planning the scene, and will hopefully be able to scaffold it starting Monday. Anyway, enough of that. There was a survey where I asked you guys for questions last week. The rest of this post will contain answers to your various questions and responses to your statements. Note that not everything was responded to, but we collectively tried to answer as much as possible.

Questions for me:

Q: When did you get the idea for this project?

A: 2015-2016. That was just a prototype, though. A proof of concept, if you will. The current iteration of Kobold Adventure has been in development for eleven months now.


Q: Will the golden needle ever have a use in the story?

A: Yes, it will. Wait and see!


Q: Will there be a finished end path eventually?

A: Technically, the Farmer's Maid scene will be an end path. If you mean an end path to the Varanar storyline: yes.


Q: How's the story planning for beyond Varanar?

A: There is no beyond Varanar. The story is based in and around the city. The deepwoods route will offer non-urban scenes.


Q: How many days is the game intended to play out over?

A: Seven. Genesis 2:2 (VOICE) On the seventh day — with the canvas of the cosmos completed — God paused from His labor and rested.


Q: Overall, how far along is this?

A: Content-wise: 3.5/10, story-wise: 2/10.


Q: How fleshed out is the world of Kobold Adventure?

A: Some parts I've thought through, some I haven't. Barely any of this is written down, though. So far, it's all in my head.


Q: Have you ever thought about making a route in the game available for only one gender of the character? Or having a route play out completely different from each other depending on Moe's gender?

A: Varanar, Morning Three already does this. Outside of sexual stuff, I don't think I'll do much more of it. Maybe.


Q: Will there be more body part size interactions?

A: Yes. Breast size in particular is currently lacking content, but more will be added.


Q: Do you plan to put some form of character customisation into place?

A: Outside of screwing with body part sizes via potions? No.


Q: Can Moe be intersex?

A: You can already be a male-herm. Six genders in total are planned, although some may be less supported than others (i.e. don't expect every scene to recognize Moe as a shemale or a cuntboy).


Q: Why is the cyan kobold always the opposite gender of Moe?

A: So I could write two sex scenes instead of four. You want'em same-gendered? You write it. The brown kobold is always the same gender.


Q: Will lactation be added?

A: Sparse lactation content is planned.


Q: Are there plans for a knight path/ending?

A: Wait and see.


Questions for Sneaky:

Q: Rock or stick?

Sneaky: Rock has a lot of dirt on it, but stick has splinters. Rock has width, but stick has length. But truly the density and coarseness of a rock beat that of a stick, and is useful to beat kobolds with, too.


Q: Will you make the art for every scene or just main ones?

Sneaky: I want to have fully fledged pictures for each lewd scene, and smaller bits of background art for non-lewd key scenes.


Q: Ever thought about drawing scenes? Like drawing Seki's shop when you first arrive there and the game showing it for the player.

Sneaky: Yes. I'd like to draw the shops as well, and there has been talk about designing a more visual inventory system with pictures for each item.


Q: Yo, please keep drawing! That's it, really.

Sneaky: I will, thanks!


Q: Not a question, but I'm interested in the willing part of Varanar, Night Two.

Sneaky: It's something I am very interested in as well, which is why I've started writing it, but it has been put on hold in favor of more art. I wish to include it soon, however.


Questions for contributors:

Q: Cello, how are you so good at writing music? Teach me your ways, please.

Cello: Years of practice, classical training, and being gifted with a good ear, that's really all it is.


Q: Cello, will you eventually make in-game music for kobold adventure in the future?

Cello: I already have made music for the game, but if you mean more music, then yeah, I plan on it.


Q: It'd be nice if Tokage can help more with writing non-lewd content! Just a request.

Tokage: We'll see. I'm not ruling out the possibility of non-lewds, but I'm pretty busy with my own writings right now, and can't really make any promises. I appreciate you liking my content enough to single it out like this.

That's the next scene set in motion, the Q&A done, and all for now. All shirts for September have been shipped, credits have been updated (and will be updated again before the end of this week), and you lot know what I'll be doing this weekend.

How is an "end" scene really different form a "bad end" one? What criteria lead you to choose one over the other? Getting bought by Cassidy, after all, seems to be a bad end in spite of ending up rather cosily for the kobold.

Hey Tinkering, thanks for answering my question, but when I asked "How's the story planning for beyond Varanar?" I meant how much of KA you got figured out beyond the initial scenes of Varanar we have now, not going beyond the city itself in-universe. Should have been clearer there, sorry for that.

This will be an entire scene, completely with a bunch of choices, all ultimately leading to endings; as opposed to a single choice which ends with a revert button.
