I rewrote the end of this one because, for one, I've been leaning on "Suspiciously Specific Denial" jokes for a while.  They're Joyce's bread and butter these days.  But this is CARLA.  She would take credit.  It's a funny delivery, but it's not a line Carla would deliver.

So I had her pointedly give herself credit for her invention designed to obscure blame.  Much more Carla.

I love this comic so much, but more and more on recent strips the discourse has gone away from theorizing and discussing whats going on and has moved toward just, bickering and bad faith takes that I left from the main site to patreon to get away from. Willis you have done nothing wrong, and moderating who among the paying fans can have say in the discussions beneath the strip would be a wrong thing to do. I just am afraid my subscription may be coming to an end soon. I signed up to read the strip, and comments, and at this point im paying to have a bad time. Thank you son so much for your creativity and imagination Willis, I will absolutely continue to read until you stop creating because I have faith in your vision for this strip. My subscription may need evaluation in the future, because this form of support is bringing negative reflection.

You can pay to support Willis and read ahead and ignore the comments - supporting him is the main point of the subscription. I generally skip the majority of the comments and just jump in sometimes.

I do not have the willpower to not look, and that's a me problem. If it continues ill just change to 1 dollar and not get early access.

I'm not at the tier to see the comics early, but I used my adblocker to block the comments section on the main site (and every other site I frequent that has comments) and my enjoyment of eveything I read has gone up immensely.

Same. Use the element picker to work out what to pick. I also used it to break Reddrit until it's unusable. For some reason, if Reddit it blocked, I'll unblock it; but if Reddit technically works, and is just non-functional, I'll give up.
