I missed it at first too. Read the 4th panel and had to go back to the other 3.

the man, the myth, the legend. The....leg-end. ....the Rorschach quote.

I follow DMW on twitter. I read the 9CL tweets for a few days, then just started ignoring them. I know it’s a lousy cartoon strip. That’s why I don’t read it.

Who voted for this man

Elizabeth Story

why is this man in a student newspaper

Pierpaolo Di Camillo

Probably one of the greatest comics artists of his time. He has understood everything!

Robert Weldon

This is absolutely brilliant; you sir, are a genius. I have to wonder if you get any blowback from McEldowney about you roasting him.

Mark

I've never read this strip save when Josh Fruhlinger roasts it, but I still thought that this was hilarious!

Yeah, "Rorschach with a thesaurus" probably is what talking to Brooke sounds like. Bravo!

The Comics Curmugeon actually seems to have given up on it entirely as "not even fun to snark at any more". His vacation replacement Uncle Lumpy is made of stronger stuff, and grimly acknowledges it (and Luann) once in his guest runs. Despite the Curmugeon site somehow getting me hooked on the misery-fest of Funky Winkerbean and the emotional void of ... well, most of the soap strips, with this one I went straight from "I've never heard of this comic" to "I have zero interest in ever reading this comic" without ever passing through any other state.

Josh F. once noted that he doesn't want to deal with 9CL, and considering that he may have to read (and write) about the antics of Wilbur Weston and Les Moore every day of the week, I very much understand him.
