I wanted to do a callback to the very first Dumbing of Age strip, with its inaugural poo.  However, as fun as callbacks are, I didn't think it introduced the characters well.   I killed my darling and tried another joke.  

And Joyce's directional thumb becomes a thumbs-up.  

Though I did add into the final version Becky's initial description of this college as being "the big leagues."
