Unused strip for August 18, 2018 (Patreon)

Hey, remember "Of Mike and Men," that storyline from two years ago with all the Mike flashback stuff?  This would have been the final flashback strip.  

Mike, walking past a car, presumably with a mobster in it, and Mike taking a moment to talk to them.  In the final panel, Amber training on a punching bag.  

I didn't use it because I thought it markered in what Mike may have been doing, while I preferred something more penciled-in.  It felt like to much like an EXCUSE for Mike's behavior, left like this, when I didn't actually want to excuse him.  Plus I didn't want to imply that he himself purposefully created Amazi-Girl.   (He didn't.)   Ultimately, too many lines in marker.  

But looking back, I kind of wish it -- or a version of it -- was in there.  It's too late now, but I think Mike's current storyline would feel better connected if there were more... connections.  If you get what I mean?   It's easier to let Mike make mistakes when you know later there's an attempt at atonement, but that was two years ago. and it'd sit awkwardly in the meantime.
