Korean Fried Chicken Ingredients:

  • Chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine rice flour, corn starch, water, salt and pepper. Mix until little flour pebbles form.
  2. Add chicken wings to the mixture and gently pack it into the skin.
  3. Take the wings out and let them rest before frying.
  4. Preheat oil to 350°F for the first fry.
  5. Raise oil temperature to 400°F for the second fry.
  6. Enjoy the fried chicken as is or with the butter honey spicy sauce.

Butter Honey Spicy Sauce Ingredients:

  • Garlic, chopped
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp fish sauce
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp siracha
  • Some water
  • 1 tsp gochugaru
  • Small bit dark soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

Instructions:

  1. In a pan, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add sugar, fish sauce, honey, siracha, water, gochugaru, and dark soy sauce. Let the mixture boil until combined and thickened.
  3. If the sauce looks too thick, use water to thin it out. It should have the consistency of syrup.
  4. Turn off the heat and stir in the unsalted butter until melted.
  5. Adjust seasoning to taste, if needed.
  6. Toss with the Korean fried chicken wings and enjoy.

Just made this for the first time and was blown away
