Giordano & team Please do a video on the incompetence of the Electrical supply companies. The Govt gave rebates for solar from 2006 and yet all they can say is they don't have the infrastructure to support the reverse energy flows from households etc. They have had 17 years to plan and build and they have achieved nothing. It take 18 months to get a substation to put in a couple of EV chargers. Apartment block wanting to install multiple charging outlets have the same delay issue, having to wait for more substations etc. Electric car sales went up about 24% last year. I can't even legally put a cable across my footpath to charge my car! Expose this incompetence for what it is, people should be fired and money given back to all consumers. About 2013/14 our bills increased because the electric companies wanted to install more interstate interconnects so they could sell money on the SPOT market (Enron?),Spot prices were at about $10,000 for 1 megawatt at peak time. The SA battery put that to shame as the priced dropped to about $280 a megawatt. They borrowed about $40 billion from the government, our bills went before they got the money because they said "they /(we) had to pay interest on the loan". Also examine how the connect cost keeps rising, i believe my company put it up 28% so that our measly 6 cents a kilowatt never pays it off. And they sell my green solar at a mark up because its green. There should be a Royal Commission, and severe penalties on all management (past and present) of the electricity supply companies. They have committed fraud and theft against all Australians. Perhaps also look how large companies negotiate their electricity bills downwards (because of how much they use), making the people pay more Community battery storage also has to be owned by them...what a farce.
