This one required tons of research, and lots of time spent chatting with people around the world to find out about their local elections and the issues we should mention. (I love this collaborative approach!) I hope you like how it turned out.

As you probably know, this is is the biggest election year in human history - over 4 billion people are eligible to vote. Which, it has to be acknowledged, is an incredible achievement considering that less than 2 centuries ago there were no state democracies around to speak of.

At the same time, it's clear that some governments are only cosplaying at democracy - using the tools and language of democracy to undermine it from within. And not surprisingly, the global index of democracy is in decline.

The HGA series has played a role in highlighting government shitfuckery over the years. But as I hope you know, we don't this to undermine trust in democracy; we do it precisely because we care about democracy and we want it to succeed. Unlike anti-democratric forces, that is, which aim to sow distrust in democratic institutions in order to undermine and destroy them.

So that's what this Honest Government Ad is all about.

As you'll see, India gets the lion share of this episode. We've had thousands of requests from Indians to make an HGA for them, so we gave the Chosen One a good shot. I'm sure we'll be getting some complaints from his fans. I should probably scratch off India from my list of holiday destinations - along with Iran and Indonesia.
